New iPhone 5 Rumors Regarding Included Apps

For those interested in the new Apple iPhone 5 release date and rumors (there seems to be a few people), more speculation, confirmed features or design concepts, and what will be available with the new smartphone continue to hit the internet.  Here’s a look at the latest rumored news regarding the highly-anticipated tech gadget.

Apple will drop the default YouTube application in the upcoming operating system according to reports. Sources from Apple indicate that the license to run YouTube in its default software has terminated and as such they will not include it in iOS. However, iPhone users can still view YouTube from the phone browser. The alternative would be to download the YouTube app from online stores, just like any other mobile application.

Also, Apple will include its own maps app for its next phone release, if the to iPhone 5 rumors are to be believed. The Google maps app has been dropped. According to multiple tech analysts, Apple and Google are slowly pulling away from each other and we are likely to see less of their partnership existing on the Apple iPhone 5.  So expect the apps available or the basic setup to be different from previous editions of the phone.

It is also likely that the default browser for the device will be Bing as opposed to Google, as the partnership between Microsoft and Apple is more mutually beneficial than the partnership between Apple and Google. Apple has already replaced Google with Baidu in the Chinese market and there could be no greater signal that the marriage between Apple and Google is on the rocks.

The iPhone 5 release date is still a closely-guarded secret but many believe that it will coincide with the release of the iOS 6 operating system at the beginning of fall this year.  Apple may also launch the iPhone 5 together with a mini iPad on the same date, which will likely results in major sales of both items for the company heading into the Christmas holiday shopping season.

So far, all these remain rumors but all tech lovers and fans of Apple will be keenly watching the clock as it ticks towards September 12th. Circle this date on your calendar folks, but use a pencil because if history is anything to go by, that date may well change at the last minute! But one thing is for sure, the Apple iPhone 5 launch will be historic, and draw massive crowds to line up at Apple stores around the nation!

Comments

  1. I hope Google/Apple don’t slash Exchange Mail Push support for iPhone Mail App, it’s the only decent way to get reliable PUSH email with Google Mail.

  2. The android phones have made a huge impact on apple and that’s because apple are a bit slow on some things, especially when it comes to allowing flash content on the phone. Also the size of the i4phone screen is a little too small so hoping they have taken onboard this and produce a bigger screen with a more powerful processor and better battery life.
