Apple is in the news… Again. This time, it isn’t for a shiny new iPhone, or an iPad Air. The Cupertino-based technology giant is trending again after a settlement agreement was reached, saying Apple will pay back $32.5M in App purchases.
The agreement was reached via the Federal Trade Commission after years of complaints from consumers who claim Apple billed them for what they called “unauthorized purchases” made by their children. The FTC says the iPhone maker will be required to change their billing techniques and policies, in addition to the hefty payout.
Then again, $32.5M is possibly just small change to the powers that be at Apple headquarters.
